She Dared, She Dared, She Succeeded

Once again we have had a wonderful show. We heard how to get on with your life when Fruitful in a tough worldthings work out less than perfect, and do a wonderful job at it

LaDonna Cook was truly inspirational. She is a single mother of two and a therapist. She put herself through school while working and acting as a full time mom. What a beautiful example of what one can do when one set their mind to do something great.

She is a woman full of life and dreams, she is positive and joyful, and a nurturing mother; but she shows a tremendous sense of self and willpower. LaDonna not only obtain three degrees and is working for a reputable institution, she is pursuing her dream. She started from the beginning, with self-determination, and  went to school for years while taking care of her two children, showing us all that it can be done.

She is a very positive woman, with a beautiful attitude. Nothing gets in her way when she decides to do something, she is just amazing. You can feel her power as she speaks, and although her voice is little her spirit is huge.

While listening to her I was thinking of all the women that are struggling right now, how her testimony can t help them get ahead on their life. If LaDonna can succeed, every other single mom should be able to, as she did it all by herself, with her will power as her only support and her spirituality as guidance.

We all go through times when we don’t know, when we don’t dare to do something so we don’t fail. LaDonna wasn’t even faced by the shadow of failure, she could not afford to do that She has children that need her, and a life that could not wait for her to get on with it. So she did, she got herself accomplished as a professional so she could take care of her obligations; and then, after the family needs where met, she set on to her writing dream. Today she has published a book and has one in the works, she is involved in her community and she is collaborating with other authors. She is a great poet, she puts her soul in everything she does. To me LaDonna is a winner; she is a woman from which we can all learn.

Please visit LaDonna at ladonnamariebooks.com for a closer look at her work, and join her in twitter @LMB_poetry. She also has a very active Facebook account, you can find her at LaDonna Marie (Lmb Poetry) it is worth the visit.

Next week Danica and I will be chatting about body image. We all have one, and most of the time is been distorted by someone else’s opinion. Did you know that beauty concept is a cultural construct. We will talk more about it next Tuesday, please join us.

Talking and Sharing

prettygirlintheworldBeautiful feelings are emanating from these conversations. We are creating a space that feels good and invited others to participate. We like that.

We had Danica and Shannon join us to share their story with us. They brought incredible experiences, know-how and energy. It was an amazing moment that lasted for half an hour. Women sharing for the benefit of other women, and really for all the people in the world that have an interest on living, thriving, growing. Our energy is feminine, and we like it that way, but not necessarily restricted to women. We feel that all and every one of us have room in our hearts and our souls for femininity, care, compassion, empathy and all the qualities that are feminine. We want to honor and empower women, but we want to share with all beings that finding the feminine side of their souls, the sensitive and nurturing woman that lives inside all of us. With no exclusions

Everybody is welcome and everybody is thought of and considered. After all, we want a better world through femininity, we don’t want to segregate and discriminate as women have been through centuries

Our guests shared their stories, both very deep and touching, and were incredibly generous; they shared their pain, but not needlessly, they also shared their solutions. Danica and Shannon gave us all hope and a huge example of bravery. They sent a message for all of us to hear: “If I can, you can too”.

Lots of different ideas, all of them great, came up in this show: it is amazing how much can be covered in ½ hour.

Catherine and I feel empowered by the people that listen and participate in our show, a show for all of us.

Thank you all for your time, your energy, your wisdom. I could not be more grateful

Next week we will be talking about abuse, and how to overcome the trauma caused by it. Our guest Jessica, is a great example to all of us, she has overcome and made the best of her tribulations. I hope you tune in an join us, we will be expecting you. This promises to be another wonderful show, full of lessons for all of us

Enriching and Getting Enriched

We had our second show, and it is getting very exciting.  Our numbers are getting higher. We are

Looking beautiful in a harsh world

getting an audience and we had a caller, although we could not talk to the person, as there was no sound. Maybe they had their phone on mute. But never the less it was an exciting moment and it made a difference. We want all of you to call and participate, we want to hear what you have to say, what your opinions are, and what topics you would like to hear us talk about with you.

Catherine and I had fun, like always that we get together. We are so different and I think that that is one of the reasons why we click. We can learn so much from each other. Catherine likes to color coordinate and accessorize, I am your casual woman, dressed up when needed, but comfortable in jeans and shirts. She loves her make up and nails done, I wear a washed faced with natural oils to moisturize; but in our own ways we are both feminine, we look at the world from the eyes of woman, and we are both very driven and ambitions in our goals, still in a very feminine way.

We came to different conclusions about what we feel what being feminine is, but somehow we have come around and seen the other’s point of view. This show definitely gave me some pointers one how to be more organized and efficient in my life.

We finally got to the conclusion that being empathic makes our job a little bit harder and the lives of others around us a little bit easier in this masculine ridden world.

It is a lot healthier and fulfilling to us women to be in tune with our vibration, in touch with our instinct.  If we are willing to make a compromise, if we make the effort to be true to ourselves, we will have the power to change the world, one of us at the time.

The world is going through a lot of changes, and I believe that femininity is getting past due recognition. There are more men and woman recognizing the power of female, the energy of nurture. Take a leap and explore your inner self, it is time to take control of who we are.

If you didn’t get a chance to listen to our show, please feel free to go back and listen to the archive of the show:
